Permanently Replace Missing Teeth with Durable Dental Implants fit into your jawbone

For a durable and permanent option to fill the gaps from missing teeth, a dental implant is the closest replacement for a natural tooth.

A Dental implant is a titanium rod placed through your gums, and fit into your jawbone, that can act as a stable foundation for a custom-made crown, and thus offers a lasting, permanent solution to restore your smile.

Thanks to an implant, you’ll get an artificial tooth that looks, feels, and functions the same as your remaining teeth, so that you’ll be able to chew, eat, and smile with confidence.

Whether you’ve lost your teeth due to injury, disease, or decay, and whether you’re looking for front-teeth replacement, full-mouth dental implants or to simply replace one tooth, our team at Hindman Family Dentistry will ensure you get your teeth fit into your jaw—and a healthy, symmetrical, and beautiful, smile—back.

Prevent Bone Loss with Affordable Dental Implants

Missing teeth can lead to bone loss in the jaw, which can alter your facial structure over time. Unlike dentures, which sit on the gums and offer no support to the underlying bone, dental implants are embedded directly into the jawbone, stimulating and preserving bone health.

At Hindman Family and Implant Dentistry, we specialize in affordable dental implants that help maintain your jaw’s integrity and prevent further bone deterioration.

If you’re searching for a dentist that does implants in Sioux City IA, our experienced team is ready to provide you with a lasting solution that restores function and confidence.

Improve Oral Health with High-quality Dental Implants

Did you know that dental implants can help you enhance your oral health?

Unlike dentures, which can trap food and require special cleaning, dental implants act like natural teeth, making daily oral hygiene simple.

By filling gaps left by missing teeth, implants prevent adjacent teeth from shifting and becoming misaligned, reducing the risk of further dental issues.

At our implant clinic at Hindman Family Dentistry, we focus on improving your overall oral health through our specialized implant procedures.

Contact us for a preliminary assessment, and restore both your smile and oral health.

Restore Your Whole Smile with Full-mouth dental implants

If you’re missing most or all of your teeth, whole-mouth dental implants offer a transformative solution.

Unlike traditional dentures, which can slip and cause discomfort, whole mouth implants provide an effective, reliable, and permanent option for restoring your entire smile. These implants act as a foundation for a full set of prosthetic teeth, enhancing both function and aesthetics.

At Hindman Family and Implant Dentistry, our experienced team uses advanced techniques to deliver full dental implants via a comfortable and effective procedure.

Consider our full-mouth dental implants procedure and give yourself the gift of a confident, complete smile.

Boost your Self-Confidence with Front-teeth Dental implants

Restoring your smile with dental implants can significantly boost your self-confidence, especially if you’re looking for front-teeth replacement, or for full upper dental implants.

Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, allowing you to smile, speak, and eat without hesitation. Unlike dentures, which can slip and cause embarrassment, implants provide a secure, permanent solution that enhances your appearance and daily life.

Allowing you to eat what you like without fear of slippage, and to speak without impairments, dental implants can be customized, and thus deliver a look that matches your existing teeth. As if you didn’t actually get oral surgery at our dental clinic… 😉

Implants

What are Dental Implants?

Teeth replacements like bridges and dentures only replace your tooth’s visible part (crown). However, dental implants restore your entire tooth from the root to the crown. A dental implant uses a screw-shaped titanium rod to mimic a natural tooth root. Titanium fixtures aren’t just lightweight — they have a unique ability to fuse or osseointegrate with the jawbone to form a permanent, solid foundation for replacement teeth.

Above an implant, we install an abutment that links the implant to the restoration. The final component of the dental implant is a crown, but you may need a bridge or denture if you have lost multiple teeth.

The first step is a comprehensive exam to determine your suitability for dental implants. Generally, your jawbone should have the volume and density to support an implant. If not, we’ll recommend bone grafting to rebuild your lost bone tissue.

Sometimes, you may want to replace a severely decayed or damaged tooth. No worries. When dental extractions are necessary, our team offers gentle treatment to create space for a dental implant.

Once your mouth is prepped for dental implants, the other steps include the following.

  • Numbing your gums to minimize discomfort.
  • Surgically inserting a titanium screw at a precise location in your jawbone.
  • Suturing your surgical site to kick-start healing.
  • Leaving your implant for 4-6 months for recovery and osseointegration to occur.
  • Abutment placement.
  • Restoring your implant with a natural-looking crown.

Dental implants need several months to complete, but you rarely remember the passage of time because you get something close to your natural teeth. Dental implants mimic your real teeth in almost every way, including looks, function, and feel.

Since dental implants emerged as a viable choice for replacing teeth, many patients aren’t willing to settle for inferior restorations. Patients and dentists alike love dental implants because they offer numerous benefits like:

  • Low maintenance
  • Longevity
  • Ability to preserve the jawbone
  • Natural look and feel
  • Renewed self-confidence
  • Restored oral function
  • Versatility to replace one, several, or all teeth anywhere in the mouth
  • Restore your oral health

Dental implants are reliable and real-looking teeth replacements — don’t settle for less. Ready to replace your missing teeth with dental implants in Sioux City, IA? Please call (712) 274-2228 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Joshua Hindman and the team.
